How do I know what services I need?
At the start of your service, we will provide an initial evaluation to ensure quality care. This will put you in the best position to decide what services your caregiver(s) will perform.
How many hours a week will I need a caregiver's service?
Brighter Days' referred caregivers can provide service for just a few hours each week or around the clock 24/7. Brighter Days offers a full range of in-home care services tailored to fit the needs of our senior and other adult patients.
How quickly can services be provided?
Our Staffing Coordinator will make every effort to have an aide available within the shortest reasonable time. Normally we are able to staff in several hours depending on when the services were requested and the type of services required.
How are the caregivers screened?
Our pool of caregivers are comprised of a diverse group of well trained, experienced, licensed and insured caregivers, all of whom speak English. All referred caregivers are screened according to Florida state law and the Agency for Healthcare Administration. We comply with the August 2010 Florida State Law (Florida Statute (F.S.), Chapter 435 and s. 408.809) requiring caregivers to submit to a Level 2 FBI screening.
What if I'm not satisfied with my caregiver's service?
At Brighter Days client satisfaction is our #1 priority. Personality issues may arise. If this should occur, contact our office immediately and our service coordinators will promptly find a more suitable caregiver to fulfill your needs.
What are the rates charged for caregivers?
Rates are based on the type of services you require and the rate requested by the caregiver who is providing the services to you. You may contact our office at 954-765-6534 and a service coordinator will assist you to determine the level of care needed.
Do you accept insurance policies?
We accept Assignments of Benefits from you and will bill most Long Term Care insurances directly on your behalf. However, each Long Term Care Policy is different and may have requirements that must be met before they approve and pay for care. We will assist in contacting your provider to review what your policy covers. Please be advised that although we accept Assignments of Benefits, you remain ultimately responsible for the payment of our invoices in the event your carrier does not pay the entire bill.
Does Medicare Pay For Home Care?
Brighter Days can assist you in defining what Medicare may or may not cover. Generally, Medicare does not pay for long-term care, however, Medicare may pay for a limited amount of home nursing care for Seniors.
